WAUKEGAN – Each year on Dec. 1, people commemorate World AIDS Day. The day of awareness is a time to reflect on the worldwide response to HIV/AIDS while honoring the lives of those lost to AIDS-related illnesses.On this day, people also renew their commitment to supporting the well-being of those with HIV, as well as those at risk for infection.Join the Lake County Stands Against Stigma Coalition from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Jane Addams Center, 95 Jack Benny Drive, Waukegan.The event is free and open to the public and will feature a candlelighting ceremony.
